I
founded my own company, Erica Ridgeway, in 2006 because
as a Ballroom/Latin Dancer myself, I felt that there
was a need for medium-priced practice wear and basic
dresses that anyone could make into their own creation.
My philosophy is that the sport, the art, or the hobby
requires the appropriate gear to achieve the goal.
As the ballerina wears the black leotard and pink tights,
or the cyclist wears the shorts and jersey, the Ballroom/Latin
dancer must also wear comfortable, functional attire
for practice, the lesson, the showcase, and the competition.
The company is now producing three lines, Couture, Practice and Make It
Yours and each is described on the associated pages. The “Practice” and “Make
It Yours” lines will be added to on a regular basis. By adding a “custom” alternative
to the Practice line, there is quite a selection of colors and mix and
match tops and skirts that you can adorn to your needs. If you don’t
really find the color for which you are looking, let me see if I can find
it. The Couture line, which creates a one of a kind design, using luxurious
fabrics, Swarovski stones, feathers and floats all made to your specifications,
will always be a mainstay of the company.
